LNG Tanker Tracker — Live Map

Free real-time tracking for 900+ LNG carriers worldwide.

What is an LNG Tanker Tracker?

An LNG tanker tracker is an online tool that displays the real-time positions of liquefied natural gas carriers on an interactive world map. Using data from the global AIS (Automatic Identification System) network, TankerMap shows where every LNG carrier is right now — updated hourly, completely free, with no registration required.

LNG carriers are highly specialized vessels that transport natural gas in liquefied form at cryogenic temperatures of approximately −162 °C. There are two main design types: membrane-type tankers, which use insulated containment systems built into the ship's hull and account for the majority of modern newbuilds, and Moss-type tankers, recognizable by their distinctive spherical aluminum tanks rising above the deck. Cargo capacities range from around 70,000 m³ for smaller vessels to 270,000 m³ for the largest Q-Max carriers.

The global LNG trade runs on a handful of major routes: Qatar → Europe and Asia, Australia → Japan, South Korea, and China, US Gulf → Europe and Asia, and Russia (Yamal) → Europe and Asia via Arctic routes. TankerMap lets you follow all of these flows in real time — tracking vessels from loading terminals at Ras Laffan, Sabine Pass, or Yamal LNG all the way to receiving terminals in Europe and the Pacific.

TankerMap tracks 904 LNG carriers worldwide, covering the full global fleet across all trade routes and terminal types. Click any vessel for route history, cargo status, destination, and vessel details.
