Kuwait's LNG import facility at Mina Al-Ahmadi, using FSRU-based regasification. Kuwait imports LNG during summer months when peak air conditioning demand for electricity generation outstrips domestic gas production capacity. One of the few Middle Eastern nations that imports LNG despite being a major oil exporter.
