Two LNG carriers loaded in Qatar appear to be testing the first outbound passage through the Strait of Hormuz for deliveries beyond the Gulf since the war began, a sign that charterers are probing whether the ceasefire window can restore at least part of the region's gas export flow. Any successful transit would be closely watched by buyers in Asia and Europe after weeks of disruption reshaped vessel scheduling and pushed importers toward alternative supply routes.

TankerMap data adds to the picture. Ras Laffan, Qatar's key LNG export hub, is listed on the platform with 77 MTPA of capacity and showed two vessels in port, one arrival and four departures in the last 24 hours. Across the broader market, TankerMap tracks 904 LNG carriers and 155 energy ports worldwide. Live tracking on Wednesday also showed LNG vessels active well beyond the Gulf, including CLEAN RESOLUTION LNG and MUREX LNG near Singapore, underscoring how closely global cargo positioning is being watched as shipowners and traders assess whether Hormuz can reopen to more regular traffic.
