French authorities have detained the captain of the crude oil tanker TAGOR, a Cameroon-flagged vessel reportedly linked to Russia’s shadow fleet, according to prosecutor Stéphane Kellenberger.
The captain faces up to one year in prison and a fine of up to €150,000. TankerMap data shows that TAGOR (IMO 9282481) is a 2005-built crude oil tanker with a deadweight of 114,809 DWT. The vessel was last observed near the French coast, while its recent port call history includes Murmansk.
