About Valdez
The southern terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) at Port Valdez, Alaska. Crude oil from Prudhoe Bay and other North Slope fields travels 800 miles through the pipeline to Valdez, where it is loaded onto tankers. The terminal has experienced declining throughput as Alaska North Slope production has fallen.
