About Sohar
A major industrial port and free zone in northern Oman, approximately 200 km from Muscat. The Sohar Refinery, operated by OQ (formerly Oman Oil), has a capacity of 198,000 bpd following the Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP). The port handles crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals, and metals, and is a key hub for Oman's industrial diversification strategy.
