About Sabine Pass

The first large-scale LNG export terminal in the contiguous United States, located on the Sabine Pass waterway at the Texas-Louisiana border. Originally built as an import terminal in 2008, it was converted to export following the US shale gas revolution. Operated by Cheniere Energy, Sabine Pass has six liquefaction trains with a combined capacity of approximately 30 MTPA, making it one of the largest LNG facilities in the world. The terminal can load vessels up to Q-Flex size and serves customers across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Its strategic location on the Gulf Coast provides access to abundant pipeline gas from the Permian, Haynesville, and Eagle Ford shale basins.
