About Ras Tanura
The world's largest offshore oil loading facility, located on Saudi Arabia's Persian Gulf coast approximately 40 km north of Dammam. Ras Tanura handles roughly 6-7 million barrels per day of crude oil export capacity through its Sea Island terminal (for VLCCs), North Pier, and South Pier. The complex includes a major refinery (550,000 bpd) and NGL fractionation plants. As Saudi Aramco's primary export terminal, Ras Tanura is one of the most strategically important energy facilities in the world, with crude oil flowing to refineries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
