About Kozmino

The Pacific terminus of the Eastern Siberia–Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline, located in Nakhodka Bay near Vladivostok in Russia's Primorsky Krai. Kozmino began operations in 2009 and handles the ESPO Blend crude grade — a light, sweet crude that has become one of the most sought-after Russian export grades, priced at a premium to Urals. The terminal loads approximately 700,000-800,000 barrels per day, primarily into Aframax tankers destined for China, South Korea, Japan, and India. Since 2022 and Western sanctions, Kozmino has dramatically increased throughput as Russian crude exports pivoted to Asian markets. The ESPO pipeline delivers crude from Eastern Siberian fields (Vankor, Talakan, Verkhnechonskoye) over 4,700 km to the terminal.
