About Ichthys LNG / Darwin
Operated by Japanese company INPEX, the Ichthys LNG onshore processing facility is located at Bladin Point near Darwin, Northern Territory. The offshore Ichthys field in the Browse Basin is approximately 220 km offshore, with gas transported via an 890 km pipeline — one of the longest subsea gas pipelines in the world. The facility has two trains with a capacity of approximately 8.9 MTPA and began production in 2018. Major partners include TotalEnergies and CPC Corporation Taiwan.
