About Grain LNG / Isle of Grain
The UK's oldest and one of Europe's largest LNG import terminals, located on the Isle of Grain in the Thames Estuary, Kent. With a million cubic metres of LNG storage and a send-out capacity of approximately 15 bcm/year, Grain LNG is a cornerstone of UK gas supply. Originally opened in 2005 and expanded in phases, it provides access to the UK's national transmission system and serves as a strategic gas storage facility. Its location near London and industrial southeast England makes it logistically ideal for UK gas demand.
