About Dahej LNG
India's largest LNG import terminal, located at Dahej in Gujarat on the western coast. Operated by Petronet LNG (a joint venture of GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, and BPCL), the terminal has a regasification capacity of 17.5 MTPA, making it one of the largest in the world. Dahej receives LNG under a major long-term contract from RasGas (now QatarEnergy) and also handles spot cargoes. The facility was commissioned in 2004 and has been expanded multiple times to meet India's growing gas demand.
