About Bonny Oil Terminal
Located on Bonny Island in the Niger Delta, this is one of Nigeria's main crude oil export terminals alongside the adjacent NLNG facility. The Bonny Oil Terminal handles the flagship Bonny Light crude grade — a light, sweet crude highly prized by refiners worldwide. The terminal is operated by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) as part of the SPDC Joint Venture with NNPC. Crude oil is gathered from multiple flow stations across the Niger Delta via the Trans-Niger Pipeline and Nembe Creek Trunk Line. Production and exports have been affected by pipeline theft, sabotage, and illegal refining activity in the Delta region.
